Its a long drive from Melbourne CBD to the Stupa but its well worth it. We were told by the tour guide that itd take a few more years for the construction to be completed and probably 10 years for the interior decoration. Wonderful place. The Jade Buddha toured so many countries for over a decade before returning to Bendigo.Other Buddhist relics are displayed in the information center. There is also a shop to buy souvenirs and jewelry made from the offcuts of the boulder out of which the Jade Buddha was carved. My boyfriend and I love this place and felt at peace when we were here.There are 2 small temples nearby and a Chinese museum as well
