Use to be Gillies Pie Shop.Abit more modern now,but,still tasty pies and other pasty goods that you can actually see being made through the windows down the side of the building.Good drink selection or tea/coffee/hot chocolate in winter.Sit down or takeaway....photo of store at Marketplace needs update-especially the movable one-which isnt pointing at your shop at all!
Supposedly closes at 4.00 on a Saturday, but when i just went there just before 3.30 store was already closed. No signs on windows stating opening and closing times, if website times are wrong....update the site.
The old gillies pie shop still a great place to visit.
Awful. Packed, no organisation, line up and hope the other people who have pushed to the front don't get served first. Employees fight and argue heatedly in front of a packed queue of customers. Who needs sterile utensils to grab your food, when a napkin over the hand does just fine? Hot chips and chicken poppets? The heated storage doesn't seem to do the job when it comes to you nice and below room temperature. Would not recommend, save your money and find somewhere better.
Absolutely incredible pies. Best in town. BUT. The staff don't seem to know what they are doing. They are slow and you often have to repeat your order to them.
