Small inside, lots of seating outside average menu, great staff, really really great breads . Only downer .. The beef and mushroom pies were pricey $7+ each for what tasted like thickened half spicy tomato sauce in ground mince.. nothing mediocre
Not only is all the bread amazing (and food!), this is my number one go to coffee in Bendigo. Always well made every time, generous sizes, well priced. Also open late for a late afternoon coffee as well. Can't recommend here enough.
I cannot love this place more! Coffee! Sourdough! Great menu. The cakes always look fabulous, not over refined. Staff are lovely. This is one of the reasons I drive through Bendigo when travelling from Melbourne to Echuca. And then I buy two loaves of bread to take with me. Highly recommended.
You just have to try it for yourself, they have vegetarian and goats cheese frittatas muffin style, they have delicious sourdough rolls with whatever you want on it and they make it really good and tasty.The bakery used to be an old Beaurepairs building turned into the bakery using the existing building. It's very spacey for seating outside and the service is great and hospitable, with a friendly atmosphere and it's very popular.
I absolutely love The Good Loaf! Not only is the food and coffee amazing, but the sourdough bread that they sell is the best in town! It is so good that many of the other cafes around town use The Good Loaf's bread. My favourites are definitely the pumpkin and corn rolls.
