Just can't give full stars to a pub with no pool table. Does have draught on tap from roof mounted copper tank. Does have a cosy tab visible from bar area, good set up. great feels, and easy to eat, tasty, non artsy fartsy Pub food.
Our group of 8 had a pleasant gathering the other night and all generally enjoyed their meals. Just a word of advice for the kitchen though. If you're going to offer Beef Vindaloo but serve a very mild curry then call it that - Mild Beef Curry. Tasty enough but "Vindaloo" it was not!
I've been here for 2 work functions over the last 2 years and the food has been sensational both times.
Food is excellent but the customer service is a 1/10. The second time I went one of the employees gave us a lecture about the reservation and spoke to my family so rudely. Its such a downfall for the place. Will never come back!
Had a top chat to an old fella called Bob at the bar, this is seriously one of the best pubs in Victoria. The staff are friendly, great Guinness 10/10.
